Statistical Consulting, Expert Analysis

I provide statistical consulting and expert analysis with an emphasis in medicine, epidemiology, and health services.
As a licensed physician with doctorates in both biostatistics and health services research, I offer wide-ranging expertise in areas that include clinical and epidemiological research design, causal inference, traditional and Bayesian statistics, machine learning, health informatics, and analysis of healthcare outcomes, quality, and cost.
To illustrate the range of services that I offer, the Project Examples page lists, in general terms, some examples of assignments that I have fulfilled on behalf of my clients.
Most of these projects have benefited from my combined background in the health sciences and statistics and from careful consideration of the interplay between statistical models and clinical-biological realities. To illustrate the importance of considering this interplay, the Study Design page, and three pages linked to it, present examples of thoughtful use of statistical models to improve the design of clinical studies, focusing on comparative effectiveness research.
